Details

Requires manufacturers to register, pay a fee and establish recycling programs for specific electronic devices. First year goal was 60% of covered electronic device weight, 80% thereafter. Must disclose if devices exceed maximum RoHS for lead, mercury, cadium and hexavalent chromium.  No fee to consumers. Covers TVs, monitors and laptops. Manufacturers may also choose to collect computers, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
