Comprehensive and quick end-of-life processing saves time and money for URT clients

URT is committed to improving the environment and protecting communities like yours throughout North America. Our company keeps millions of pounds of electronic waste (e-waste) from entering our nation's landfills each year through recycling and material recovery.

URT offers comprehensive recycling solutions for all types of electronic equipment, including:

  • Consumer Electronics
  • Security Equipment
  • Computer and Peripherals
  • Laboratory Equipment
  • Communication Equipment
  • Testing Equipment
  • Network Equipment
  • Point-of-Sale Equipment
  • Office Equipment
  • Cathode Ray Tubes
  • Uninterruptible Power Supplies
  • Circuit Boards

URT recycles all equipment to its individual commodity component and separate all hazardous materials onsite to meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements. We offer documentation that provides protection and eliminates the liability associated with the hazards of electronics. All equipment is handled safely to protect our customers, our employees and our environment.

With our 140,000 square foot headquarters facility, and our supporting locations across the nation, URT has a vast processing capacity that offers comprehensive recycling services to meet a variety of needs in concert. Customer electronics are processed quickly and all processing is done in-house. By managing 100% of the process, URT assumes all of the liability for our customers' obsolete or damaged equipment. URT customers rest assured their products are being recycled in compliance with complete confidence.

Data Security and Destruction
URT's data security and destruction services prevent accidental or illegal use of sensitive information, such as employee records, client data and financials. We provide the most extensive methods of data destruction available. We offer specialized services for all types of systems. We have the ability to meet any data destruction need and the capacity to electronically destroy hundreds of drives per day.

URT's Three-phase Process
Because electronic storage media has many forms, URT developed a comprehensive, three-phase approach to managing company/personal data.

Testimonial

"Like others in the industry, our company is concerned with the proper management of electronic equipment and the destruction of sensitive information that can be found on hard drives. That's why we chose URT: Universal Recycling Technologies (formerly CRT Processing), one of only a handful of companies in the United States who handle complete glass-to-glass recycling. It's satisfying to know that the units we send to URT are de-manufactured and recycled 100 percent. We are very confident in their ability to manage all aspects of the recycling process and provide us with detailed reports certifying their work. We trust URT to recycle our customers' electronic equipment and remove all of the personal data with the care, diligence and expertise it takes to ensure their privacy."

"We have been doing business with URT: Universal Recycling Technologies (formerly CRT Processing) for many years. We feel confident that they are handling our customers' material in a safe and compliant manner. Their always-compliant facility, excellent customer service and broad range of services are paramount in a very fragmented electronics industry. URT's secure recycling of sensitive electronic waste offers peace of mind. We look forward to continuing our relationship as they expand their capabilities."
